Soccer Exercises And Training Drills

The Place For Soccer Coaching And Fitness

Questions for soccer players regarding fitness?

How old are you?
How long have you been playing soccer?
How often do you play soccer?
Do you get winded, feel tired etc when you play?
Do you think fitness is always something to be improved, or do you think you are match fit already?

i’m 16.

this is my 12th year to be playing the sport.

i play year-round since i am in a competitive league. we practice a couple times a week and have games and tournaments every single weekend.

of course, everyone gets winded at some point. but you can always improve your fitness level and your blood’s oxygen intake. breathing technique can help you last longer on the field as well. i run at least 2-3 miles every morning before school and then i do sprints in the afternoon. just remember, you have to keep up with your running and fitness because you can get out of shape very quickly and it’s tough to get back into it.

    I’m 18.
Been playing since I was ten or eleven.
I play a few times a week, pickup with my friends and the european grad students.
Normally if I get tired, it’ll be in the first half. I settle in after I’ve been playing a while.
Unless you’re world class, you can improve your fitness. It’s not easy or fun, but it can always be improved.
